You must see the original Death Race 2000 this movie was based on (it’s a black comedy instead of an action movie). It smokes this rendition ten fold. David Carradine and Sylvester Stallone… a true original classic. One of my all time favorites.

I must say I had no idea that this movie had all these actors and actresses in it. I haven’t seen life aquatic or royal tenebaums, but i always wanted too and heres a new movie to the list of movies i should probably see. Plus any movie with Booker from Roseanne is a must see lol

It’s really nice to know someone else has a memory for Family Guy. I get the impression that they write the show with the assumption that no one watching really remembers anything that happened a year ago. But for long time fans these things stick in the mind and it would be nice to see the characters doing genuinley new things.

Yeah it’s funny you should mention that. I’ve been trying to track it down for a while, but up to this point haven’t found a version with English subs. The funny thing is, though, I keep seeing it translated as The Good, The Bad, and The Weird…though we’ve been getting a lot of hits lately from people Googling “The Good The Band and The Strange.” Interesting. I know Scott (the writer of this article) and I have been looking forward to catching the Korean movie you speak of…it looks great in its trailers.

Yeah I couldn’t agree more about people all assuming they had seen the future and calling them “FlashForwards.” It seems far more likely that people from different cultures would have different reactions. And I love the question about blind people! There’s so much this show could do with the plot they have, but will they?

Absolutely. But alas… I have no BluRay player and I’m not going to waste those fantastic sprawling visuals at torrent resolution on my 52″ TV. I’ll either wait until I can get one or watch it properly at someone else’s house.

Well there you go then! That makes perfect sense to me that Joss would be a huge Battlestar Galactica fan. It’s funny you mention Caprica, I had thought of mentioning that with Jane Espenson. I watched the movie for Caprica had some very mixed feelings on it.

Marsters to Dollhouse? I like that. Any word on Amy Acker and her involvement in Season 2? Oddly enough Dr. Saunders ended up being my favorite character and by far the most intriguing for me.

While I’m extremely excited for the movie’s release, I think the trailer doesn’t do much to instigate excitement. It’s a rather blah trailer.
BUT that doesn’t affect my overwhelming joy for the film as a whole!

I think I recall reading an interview with Joss Whedon where he mentioned Battlestar Galactica being his favourite TV show, which is probably why he’s so keen on poaching actors from it.
It seems to be working the other way around now as well; with Jane Espenson running Caprica, the BSG spinoff, they’ve hired James Marsters (Spike from Buffy and Angel) for a recurring role.
